Bald is Bald!
March 18, 2006
I got my head shaved tonight for a children’s cancer research fundraiser. My brother-in-law asked me to join him to watch his daughter while he got his head shaved for the cause. Well, all those folks participating–young and old–were mostly men. When a man gets his head shaved (or loses his hair) it is a big deal. But, there were only a couple of women participating. I was inspired. Fortunately, I was able to participate as an onsite shavee and they auctioned off my hair. It was great fun and my hair fetched nearly $400–hurray! I am grateful to have the choice to support cancer research and show my solidarity with cancer survivors. Carpe diem! I’ll post a picture or two when I get them.

When you get a chance, check out the new Web site for our family happenings. It’s a wiki. A wiki allows you to easily add stuff to a Web site, and/or make changes. It’s a pretty good way to keep in touch when working with a diverse range of people with a common goal. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to wander through with you.
Wiki Want Not

A wiki is an easy way to simplify your life. What’s a wiki? Well, why don’t you take a peek at PBwiki.com and see for yourself. As the folks as PBwiki.com say, making your own wiki is easier than making a peanut butter sandwich (hence, the name). Check it out. And, while your’e there, you may as well check out the want not wiki.
